• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
• 1 large egg
• 1/2 t vanilla extract
• 1/4 t almond extract
• 3/4 cup flour (all purpose)
• 1/2 t baking soda
• 1/4 t salt
• 1-1/2 cup rolled oats

1. Cream butter, sugar, egg, and extracts until smooth.
2. Slowly add in flour, baking soda, and salt.
3. Stir in oats
4. Scoop onto a pan and bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes.

Sometimes when faced with an engineering challenge the best solution is the three B's. Build it, break it, beef it up.
